SALES PRESENTATION
We
are a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and do recommend that you check us out. You will
find that we have never had even one complaint filed
against us. When we come out on a sales
presentation, we bring a list of our past and present
customers (there are over forty-five pages in our
customer list alone). You are welcome to call
any of these customers to find out the quality of work
we perform. The majority of our past/present
customers do not mind you coming out and checking out
their pools if you call them first (their telephone
numbers and addresses are provided).
Every
product we use is of the highest quality - from our
walk-in steps, to our liner, to our pumps and filters
to our ladder - everything is top-of-the-line.
J
& G uses a Sterling Kit by Fort Wayne Pools.
The 8' panel on this kit weighs 124 pounds. Our
closest competition to the Sterling Kit has 8' panel
that weighs 115 pounds -- a
difference of 9 pounds per 8' panel. Our pool
panels have a lifetime warranty and is one (1) time
transferable. When we come out on a presentation
to see the pool site, we bring with us a computer disk
that shows the manufacturing of panels and gives
further information about the kits.
The
walk-in steps we use are the most solid, well-built,
steps on the market. They are manufactured by
Fort Wayne Pools. Our competitors use other
steps. Theirs are made of acrylic and must use a
brace system. While theirs weigh approximately
100 pounds, the ones we use weigh approximately 400
pounds. Ours do not require the use of a brace
system. In fact, once the walls and steps have
been set and the footer has been poured (and before
backfill has been done), a 200 pound man could jump on
these steps and they would not flex.
We
use a stainless steel ladder with stainless steel
steps (not plastic steps as those used by our
competition).
You
will find our 8' spring board and base are very
"springy". We have never had a broken
board.
Our
standard pool has two (2) bottom drains and a separate
pool cleaner line. This cleaner is twice as fast
as a Kreepy Krawler. It walks all over the
bottom picking up trash and it takes the trash to the
skimmer basket.
Most
of our competitors offer the Homeowner a limited
choice - 15 to 20 - of liner patterns and the liner is
delivered to the pool site along with the pool kit;
which means the liner is probably a spec liner and
could have been setting at the suppliers for an
unknown period of time. We offer a custom-built
(built to the measurements taken at each individual
pool) 20-Mil 100% pure virgin vinyl (with ultra violet
coating). This means that our liner lasts twice
as long as any spec liner and has a better fit in the
pool. Our Homeowner gets to choose from
brochures and samples of between 100 to 150 liners.
Pumps
and Filters. We give our Homeowners a Hayward
Super Pump and a
Hayward Top-Mount Hi-Rate Sand Filter.
We have found that, at this time, we consider
Haywards pump(s) and filter(s) to be the best
available.
Walk-In
Steps. A lot of our customers want to upgrade
from 8' walk-in steps to 8' Leisure Steps for an
additional $309.00. This includes an upgrade in pump
size as well. These steps are easy to sit
on and, if two return jets are added to the steps (at
a cost of $747.00) they can enjoy sitting on the steps
with water being sprayed from the jets (like having a
hot tub without the hot water). If the return
jets are added, we add a separate plumbing line and an
extra Pentair gate valve. This gate valve can
turn the returns to the pool off and add pressure to
the jets in the steps.
Though
we offer a Hayward Navigator with our pool package, we
offer an upgrade to a Hayward Phantom pool cleaner
with a 3/4 Hp Polaris Halcyon booster pump or a
Hayward Booster Pump (not only
the bests, but the quietists) for a cost of $1,650.00
At present, this is the best cleaner on the market
that we have found. It skims trash from the top
for 7 minutes, then drops to the bottom and cleans for
13 minutes. It cleans not only the top and
bottom, but the sides. There is a 3-way switch
that, if flipped in one direction, makes the cleaner
stay on the top; if flipped in the opposite direction,
makes the cleaner stay on the bottom; if flipped in
the third direction, the cleaner goes to the top and
to the bottom. This cleaner gets its own
electrical circuit and timer. This timer can be
set to come on and clean the pool with nobody being
present.
We
also offer an upgrade to a Polaris 280 with a 3/4 Hp
Polaris Halcyon booster pump for an extra $1,350.00 or
an upgrade to a Pentair Platinum Cleaner with a 3/4 Hp
Polaris Halcyon booster pump for an extra $1,390.00.
Though
most customers do not prefer a heater; we do offer
heaters to those who do want one.
We
offer a Hayward Energy Efficient Heater which operates
on gas.
For
a 16' x 32' Pool, we suggest a 300,000 btu Heater at a
cost of $4,017.00
For
a 18' x 36' Pool, we suggest a 350,000 btu Heater at a
cost of $4,326.00
For
a 20' x 40' Pool, we suggest a 400,000 btu Heater at a
cost of $4,738.00
Natural
Gas - The Homeowner is responsible for contacting the
gas company and having them come out and change the
meter to a commercial meter (should cost approximately
$700 for this). The Homeowner needs to get a
Licensed Plumber come out to run the gas line and do
the hook-up. This needs to be a Licensed Plumber
as he needs to pull a permit for his work.
LP
Gas - Homeowner can have the LP gas company bring out
a LP gas tank and hook up his gas line to the heater.
Heatwave
Ice Breaker. This unit both heats and cools the
water. Our cost to the Homeowner is $8,240.00
For this unit, it will be necessary to have 60 amp
service for the heater and 30 amp service for the
pool. Therefore, it may be necessary for the
Homeowner to contract with our electrician to install
a subpanel, do extra trenching, and use a larger gauge
of wire.
Salt
Systems. No matter what type of salt system you
get for your pool, it is necessary that brass anchor
sockets be installed because the aluminum anchor
sockets normally used for a swimming pool will corrode
over a period of time from the salt.
Since
salt systems use electrolysis to produce chlorine, we
use an anti-electrolysis zinc anode to eliminate
plaster staining and metal corrosion due to
electrolysis. In order for a Salt system to function
properly the salt level should be at 3200PPM and
should not exceed 3500PPM. Chlorine should be checked
weekly with a test strip to ensure it is not high.
High salt levels and high chlorine levels will cause
corrosion even with the anti-electrolysis zinc anode
that we use.
We
install 2 different salt systems:
Our
customer preferred -
(1)
Auto Pilot DG-48. Cost $2,600
(2)
Aqua Logic Goldline P-4 Turbo Salt System.
Cost $3,000
All
salt systems need to have a freeze protector.
The Auto Pilot comes with one (1) Built-In Freeze
Protector and Timer and is Digitally Programmed.
The Goldline Aqua Logic P-4 comes with two (2)
freeze protectors with an extra 40 amp service run to
it it also comes with two (2)timers.
If you select this salt system you have the
option of adding remote controls (at an additional
charge) either now or at a later date.
We consider this the best salt system on the
market.
If
you select to install a salt system, we install brass
anchor sockets, we balance the water, and we program
the unit.
Light
in Pool. Most of our competitors include a light
in their pool package. We do not include a light
but we do include a pool cleaner. The light our
competitors are including has a plastic niche and the
light is made of plastic. We refuse to use this
type light. We use a stainless steel niche and
light. We offer the following.....
500-Watt American Light
with four (4) Colored Mood Lenses. Cost
$1,250.00. Included in this price is an extra
electrical circuit with a GFCI receptical.
SAm Light
with rotating light (8 distinct colors with
"between" colors). This light is
brighter than fiberoptic lighting costing $8,000.
The price of an extra electrical circuit with a GFCI
receptical is also included. This light has two
(2) 150-watt halogen bulbs. We install this
light for $1,800.00.
Concrete.
The concrete deck on our pools is 8' on the deep end,
4' down both sides, and 4' on the shallow end with an
extra 4' behind the walk-in steps. At present
our charge for extra concrete (including any white PVC
expansion joints and fiber mesh) is $5.25 per square
foot.
